HE CAN STEAL IT – LUKE 8: 4-12

Jesus was speaking to them from verse 4-12

As we know this is a popular verse that we normally read and have heard over and over again yet we normally don't even apply it. Jesus gave an example of Four Group of people that hear the WORD of God. the First group has to do with those who hear and the devil comes to steal the word out of their hearts lets they believe and be saved. But is it just hearing and the devil comes and takes it away? No, we can find an addition of this in the book of Matthew 13:19

"When anyone hears the Word of the Kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside"

It is not just about hearing the WORD of God that brings faith but also understanding. Yes, Paul says that Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the WORD of God, but how will you have faith in something that you do not understand. Jesus is saying, if one hears the WORD and the Kingdom and doesn't understand it, the devil has the ability to steal that word so that the person doesn't believe and be saved. Thus, so that the person doesn't believe with time so that it becomes their faith and by that they become saved from that situation. It is not just everyone who can be a preacher or a teacher of the WORD. Paul says to Timothy that "Study to show thyself approved, a Worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD of Truth"(2 Thimothy 2:15). Meaning till he studies, he will/might wrongly divide the Word of Truth and that is what many of us are doing, we just go online and research things and preach them to people and their minds are clogged with confusion. So, they hear the WORD that is supposed to be a key to their salvation and deliverance but because they do not understand, they cannot even apply it to that situation. Jesus said in John that the Spirit will lead us into all Truth, meaning without the Holy Spirit who is the Leader into the Truth one cannot rightly divide the Word of Truth. So, many have learned and have studied to show themselves approved, they rightly divide the Word of Truth but there is no understanding to their hearers because both the Preacher and Listener have set aside the only One who is supposed to lead to the Truth thus the Holy Spirit. It is not just the studying and dividing but it takes the Holy Spirit who will lead us into the Truth that has been divided. So, we see many preachers will preach about realms and portals and stuff, people will understand but others will preach the same message and people will be confused about this and will never understand. The difference is the Holy Spirit who led others into the Truth because one was directed by Him to go into that truth that was brought. That is why it is not advisable to be picking people's messages and be preaching them, you will end up bringing confusion to those who listen to you. Because you were not led into that Truth by the Holy Spirit what led the one you copied the message from so what you preach are Words without backing. It is the duty of the Preacher to be led by the Spirit to divide the Word of Truth and not studying to present, I guess that would be a research presentation. Studying it is essential but being led by the Spirit in doing that will lead to listeners understanding that Word which will then become their Faith and the devil will not have the chance to steal that WORD from them. If you are not interested to collaborate with the Holy Spirit never preach any message from the Holy Bible because it will not be beneficial to those listening. It might sound a bit hard but let us understand that "All Scripture is given by the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit..", the Holy Spirit cannot give something for it to be explained by the carnal mind. Because the things of the Spirit are foolish to the carnal man.

Jesus even says to the Disciples that to you is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom but to the rest it is given in parables. Who gives it? Paul says that But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. The mysteries of the Kingdom include the WORD, and Paul says again that "For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God". (1 Corinthians 2:10-11). Since the WORD of God is God, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, Paul is indirectly saying that "The Spirit of God searches the deep things that is in God which is the WORD, since God is His Word and because the Spirit is of God, He knows what is in God even the deep things and He is the one who reveals it to us". I will say it again "If you are not willing to allow the Spirit of God to lead you, then do not preach the WORD of GOD, because if the understanding is not given to you by the Spirit, then you will end up confusing those listening. And even worst, you give the devil the chance to steal this WORD from their hearts and they are not going to benefit anything. As I always say by the Spirit, the "P" in "Preach" stands for Power and the Holy Spirit is Power. Because how do you expect someone who has been in sin for decades just to be saved by saying "Jesus has the ability to set you free" when there is no power to back your Words. Why would you think Jesus didn't just deploy them to preach but told them to wait, they needed that Power of the Holy Ghost to be able to witness. The WORD of God is Spirit and Life (John 6:63), the Word of God is a fire and a hammer that breaks the rocks into pieces (Jeremiah 23:29), the Word of God is quick and is Powerful and is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit, and joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). These are the elements that should have been active anytime the WORD is spoken but without the Spirit, all these elements are inactive and our preaching is just a presentation. Because God didn't give it to us, we researched online and combined notes, we just opened the Bible and linked scriptures that are in relation to what we want to preach but the Spirit didn't lead us in this. If it is so, then we give the devil chance to steal these Words from the hearts of our listeners because the Spirit that is to reveal the understanding to the Word unto them is not present. Jesus said "To the rest it is given in parables".... Meaning without the Holy Spirit giving meaning to what we preach, they hear it as parables thus without understanding. How long will we let our people stay in darkness, how long will they listen to parables and researched sermons. I know some of us are very learned and have depts but it’s the Holy Spirit that gives approval to these things. Because we have set the Spirit aside and doing our own research and knowledge to preach the Word, the Word which is supposed to be Spirit and Life is not serving that purpose, now it’s full of Condemnation and Death. The Word is not being able to burn away certain desires of the flesh and even to break very hardened heart again because the Holy Spirit is not in it, HE was set aside so His Elements are not present. The Word is not quickening listeners again because the Spirit has been set aside, The Word is no longer cutting into the hearts of men as Peter preached His First Official Sermons as an Apostle after the day of Pentecost. The Word is not discerning the thoughts of listeners again because that day that they will hear the word in relation to a certain sin they wanted to commit, that is the day they will even do it with ease; because the Spirit has been set aside. People have received much of the WORD from many preachers but because the Seal of the Spirit is not found on it, they didn't understand and thereby gave the devil a chance to take way that word so that they don't believe. Have you come to that place where you have heard a certain message preached over and over again and it sounded the same and you even knew where they would all end, but that same messages it preached by another person and it sounds as if you haven't heard that message before or you haven't even know that particular Scripture before? That is the Holy Spirit revealing it unto you because that is what He does, and this is when that Word becomes your faith which will allow you to be saved from a certain situation which needed that Word to unlock. THE HOLY SPIRIT CANNOT BE LEFT OUT, When HE is LEFT OUT in Our Sermons "We are just doing a Presentation or Presenting a Researched Material” ... Get Him Involved at All TIMES, Because He was the Only person Jesus promised us when He was leaving. We have read in scripture and have come to know what He did alongside those who decided to collaborate with Him, why should we set Him aside and expect Him to work as the time of the Apostles. These were no Stories, they are real.
